COMPANY PROFILE
Based in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC) is a comprehensive regional health system with more than 500 physicians, two acute care hospitals, home health services (VNA), skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, an assisted living facility and more than 5,000 employees. Cape Cod Hospital is a 218-bed acute care hospital located in Hyannis and serves residents and visitors to Cape Cod. Their clinical programs continue to grow and they are one of only three community hospitals recently approved to perform open heart procedures. Their emergency center is one of the busiest in the state during the summer months, treating over 80,000 patients per year and the Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center delivers the most advanced cancer treatment. Falmouth Hospital is recognized for superb patient satisfaction. It is an 83 bed facility located on a beautiful hilltop campus which it shares with JML Care Center, Heritage at Falmouth, one of the VNA of Cape Cod sites and a physician office complex. Their 30,000 sq. ft. Constance B. Faxon Center offers nearby residents easy access to state-of-the-art-facilities for outpatient diagnostic testing, surgical procedures and maternity services. The hospital's Dr. E. Langdon Burwell Emergency Center features both an UrgiCare unit and an innovative Clinical Decision Unit. C-Lab is the laboratory network of Cape Cod Healthcare and provides a wide range of clinical testing services, information and laboratory management expertise in a number of locations.

THE HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION

Cape Cod Healthcare and its not-for-profit affiliates was formed to support the administration of charitable donations for Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital and the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Exhibits a commitment to the mission, vision and goals of representative entity and Cape Cod Healthcare, and builds a positive environment for philanthropy, both externally and externally

Identifies, cultivates and solicits major and planned gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations

Under the direction of the Vice President for Philanthropy manages capital campaign planning, including feasibility studies, screening efforts, case development, establishment of volunteer structure and assessment of staffing needs

Collaborates with the CCHC major gifts staff to coordinate fundraising efforts for the system

Works with board members, volunteers, CCHC senior management, Foundation staff and community leaders to advance the major gift effort

Works with the Executive Director for Gift Planning to increase and expand system-wide planned giving program

Works with the Manager of Annual Programs to expand and increase the direct mail program.

Works with Special Events Manager to target the appropriate constituents and expand visibility, thereby increasing event revenues

Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Philanthropy to meet organizational needs

CANDIDATE QUALITIES:

Leadership:

An individual who sets high personal goals and has a drive for excellence

A visionary strategic person who brings insight and energy to the task at hand

Passion to serve through motivating and energizing others through a collaborative and participatory approach that focuses on results

Experience:

Seven to ten years of senior fundraising experience, demonstrating increased responsibility and professional growth

A history of leadership roles with proven success in multi-million dollar campaigns that requires creating and executing complex giving strategies

Successful capital campaign experience preferred

Track record of motivating, empowering and managing a staff of development professionals, volunteers and fundraisers

Strength in working with Board of Directors

Skills and Knowledge:

Superior organizational skills

Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously

Rapport builder who forges strong personal relationships with major donors

CFRE preferred

Experience with Blackbaud fundraising software

Education:

Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred
