Project Expectations
The
following are guidelines that we ask all of our clients
to adhere to in order for us to partner together
on a successful executive search assignment:
- Provide
as much information as possible on the open position
including a detailed job summary and make
yourself available for a meeting (in person or
via telephone) to discuss company culture, why the
position
is open, and overall search strategy. This meeting
must take place within two business days of a signed agreement
and prior to any recruitment activity. Hiring Managers
must be involved in this meeting.
- Once
a short list of candidates is presented to the client
company,
be sure to make yourself available
to discuss the candidates within two business
days. It is imperative to invest the time talking
about
what we know about the candidates that is not apparent on
their resume. (i.e. salary, motivation for making
a change, strengths and weaknesses, personality, interest
level, factors involved in relocation, etc.)
- If
the search consultant recommends that the client
company moves quickly to interview a candidate, please
do not delay this process because great candidates often have
multiple opportunities and must be recruited
differently.
- Client
company agrees to not discriminate based on age,
sex, religion, race, or country of origin.
- Client
company agrees to keep all candidate information
confidential and not to jeopardize candidate's
current employment. This includes not approaching
a current employer for a reference without
the express
permission of the candidate; doing so is
unprofessional and unlawful.
- After
client interviews of candidates presented
by Hewitt Partners, please provide your
feedback within two business days to search consultants.
- Client
company agrees to not miss a scheduled interview
(whether via telephone
or in-person).
If a scheduling conflict arises, please contact the search consultant to
reschedule prior to scheduled interview.
- Client
agrees to come to interviews prepared. This includes
having a clear understanding
of the open position and what the client company is looking for in a candidate,
prior to the interview.
- It
is also imperative for client to represent themselves
in
the utmost professional manner
and to "sell" the
opportunity to candidates by discussing
the strengths of the organization and positive company
culture and
career path options.
- Client
must be prepared with candidates' resumes
and have reviewed the resumes
in detail prior to an interview.
- If
the client company has decided not to proceed with
a candidate, please
let us know
so we can let the candidate know. Providing timely feedback to our candidates
-- both positive and negative feedback -- will help
with
the successful outcome of a search.
